The following are some of our favorite episodes of First Monday released in 2017.
In "#BadLawyerGate," we interviewed legendary Supreme Court litigator Lisa Blatt and talked about the problems caused by lawyers who refuse to give up Supreme Court arguments. In a recent episode, we talk with Professor Orin Kerr about this Terms's hugely important Fourth Amendment case Carpenter v. United States. In this episode, the second part of our "101 First Street" series designed to provide an introduction to the Supreme Court for non-experts, we explain how the Court hears arguments and decides cases. This episode was the first part of our four-part series "Good Behaviour," which tracked the nomination and confirmation of Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court. This episode was released the day after Gorsuch's nomination was announced. This double-length episode features Dan, Ian, and Leah recapping the greatest moments from the 2016 Term and also includes an interview with NPR's Nina Totenberg, who has subsequently become a regular guest on the show.
